PanClim
A new multi-model dataset for systematic assessments of climate change impacts

Welcome

This website provides access to the PanClim climate dataset. The multi-model dataset facilitates systematic, probability-based analyses of climate change impacts. These scenarios provide consistent changes in global mean temperature for 19 Atmosphere-Ocean General Circulation Models (AOGCMs). Global mean temperature increases were obtained from the reduced-complexity climate model MAGICC6 to create scenarios covering warming levels from 1.5 to 5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels around the year 2100. A pattern-scaling approach was applied to extract generalised patterns of spatially explicit change in temperature, precipitation and cloudiness from the AOGCMs which were then combined with warming scenarios.

You can find more information about the scenario generation process as well as example impact assessments based on these scenarios under Applications.

You can download the scenario data under Download.
